APPOINTMENTS
Our eye clinics value time and schedules. We know how precious and non-renewable time is. We provide a scheduling system to help each of us plan our days. Appointments are made for flow efficiency and capacity planning. Book an appointment here.
The situation may arise where a patient fails to cancel, and we cannot schedule you for a visit due to a seemingly “full” appointment schedule. Canceled appointments and no-shows are a significant financial and scheduling burden for the clinic.
We respectfully request you notify us of the cancellation at least 24 hours before the scheduled consultation and at least 72 hours before surgeries. If we do not receive any notification, a No-Show Tag is made on your record, and corresponding fees will be applied.
WALK-IN
We operate on an appointment-based scheduling system. Walk-in visits, although accepted, are highly discouraged. Walk-ins must be willing to wait for the next available slot subject to no-shows or may be added at the end of the scheduled patients subject to the doctor's availability.
LATE APPEARANCE
We realize that delays can occur; however, we do our best to keep the other patients and doctors on time. If a patient is 15 minutes past their scheduled time, we reserve the right to reschedule the appointment to another day or move it to a later time slot on the same day if the doctor’s schedule allows.
CANCELLATION AND NO-SHOW
CONSULTATIONS (Virtual or Face-to-Face)
We realize that there are instances when you must miss an appointment due to emergencies or obligations for family or work. However, when you do not call to cancel an appointment, four people suffer:
- the patient, because treatment is not received;
- the doctor, who has reserved that particular appointment for you;
- another patient, who could have been seen in your place;
- and the clinic secretary, who has to attend to the last-minute scheduling changes.
As a courtesy, if you must cancel your appointment, we ask that you provide more than 24 hours' notice. This will enable our clinic to offer the time slot to another patient. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours notice are subject to a PHP 560 cancellation fee.
Patients who do not show up for their appointment without a call to cancel are considered a "No Show." Patients who do not show up for their appointment two (2) times may be dismissed from the practice and denied any future bookings. Patients are subject to a PHP 1,120 fee for the missed appointment.
Insurance does not cover missed appointments and no-show fees.
SURGERIES (Elective and Emergency)
Surgical schedule cancellations affect more people, namely:
- patient, because treatment is not received;
- another patient, who could have been treated in your place;
- the doctor, who has reserved that particular surgical slot for you;
- other doctors, who could have booked that surgical slot for their patients;
- the clinic secretary, who has to attend to the last-minute scheduling changes;
- the operating room scheduling staff, who has to attend to the last-minute scheduling changes;
- the nursing staff who prepared all the surgical needs;
- and the hospital, which lost utilization of the surgical slot.
As a courtesy, if you must cancel your surgery, we ask that you provide more than 72 hours' notice. This will enable our clinic and the hospital to offer the time slot to another patient. Elective surgery schedules canceled with less than 72 hours notice are subject to a PHP 5,600 cancellation fee.
Patients who do not show up for their elective surgery without a call to cancel are considered a "No Show." Patients who do not show up for their elective surgery schedule may be denied any future elective surgery schedules. Patients are subject to a PHP 11,200 fee for the missed surgical appointment. Any future elective surgery schedule requested, if approved, will have to be prepaid and rendered non-refundable.
Insurance does not cover missed appointments and no-show fees.
DISMISSALS
Lastly, if two (2) appointments (Cancellations and No-Show) with no 24-hour notice should occur in a row, at our discretion, we can remove future scheduled appointments from the schedule and dismiss the patient from our practice.
