At ROQUE Eye Clinic, we can remove pinguecula if it is cosmetically unacceptable to the patient. This is performed for non-inflamed and non-vascularized lesions only. A pinguecula must be treated medically if it is inflamed and vascularized.

Description

LASER REMOVAL (PER EYE, PER SITE – temporal or nasal bulbar conjunctiva only)

ONE (1) session, an average of thirty (30) minutes

Topical anesthesia
Combination steroid antibiotic drops for ten to fourteen days
Outpatient, day surgery
Philhealth does not cover cosmetic procedures
HMOs do not cover cosmetic procedures
Minimal downtime
Follow-up visits are one week and one month after laser removal.

POST-OP CARE

No swimming for two weeks after the laser procedure.
Adhere to lifetime dry eye management.
The use of daily preservative-free ophthalmic lubricants is advised.
Polarized anti-UV sunglasses are required outdoors.
Swimming goggles are required for pool or beach water activities.
Recurrence may happen in the future. Touch-up treatments are possible whenever desired.
